WHAT:
The Music Center hosts a free Watch Party in Downtown L.A. featuring the Spain v. Uruguay global soccer matchup. Angelenos and soccer fans of all ages are invited to cheer for their favorite team as the game appears on the big LED screens outdoors on Jerry Moss Plaza at The Music Center. During the match, guests can enjoy soccer-inspired artmaking activities, such as refashioning jerseys and mask- and flag-making. There’s also a photo booth to capture the fun memories!
Guests are welcome to bring a picnic dinner or purchase eats and treats with a variety of food and drink options available at The Music Center. No outside alcohol is permitted.
After the final whistle, the celebration continues with a free global dance party, kicking off the 22nd season of The Music Center’s Dance DTLA. Fans can strut their soccer fashions on the dance floor and learn a blend of dance moves under the summer night sky. Absolutely no dance experience necessary!
This special evening for soccer fans, creatives and dance lovers is co-created with The Music Center’s Partner Network Initiative members: Arts for LA, Dance Resource Center, KCRW, LA Commons, Las Fotos Project, LAUSD Arts Education Branch, South Gate Museum & Art Gallery and Dexter Story. The Music Center’s ¡Dale! Fútbol Watch Party: Spain v. Uruguay is sponsored by Essentia Water.
All summer long, there will be game days at The Music Center. Check out the full schedule at musiccenter.org/watchparty and catch select midday and evening soccer matches on the LED screens on Jerry Moss Plaza!
